An exhibition experience like no other in Celje at Tehnopark Celje
Tehnopark Celje will host the acclaimed multimedia installation ATMOSPHERE - Art, Climate and Space Exploration from 21 August to 29 September 2024. The exhibition is being prepared in the largest science and entertainment park in Slovenia in collaboration with the Austrian Cultural Forum Ljubljana, the Universalmuseum Joanneum Graz and the DLUL Gallery Ljubljana.
The multimedia installation ATMOSPHERE - Art, Climate and Space Exploration is a testament to the power of art, research and collaboration in addressing the fundamental issues of our time. It takes visitors on an in-depth journey through the fields of atmosphere, climate and space exploration. It was created as part of the STEIERMARK SCHAU 2023 project, designed by Alexander Kada and curated by Astrid Kury. “We consider it an honor that our collaboration with the Austrian Cultural Forum Ljubljana is growing and that we have been recognized as a trustworthy partner for hosting an internationally acclaimed exhibition, which has already been on display in Vienna, Herberstein, New York and Massachusetts. 10 video art contributions by 17 artists from 9 countries and 11 contributions of research reports by scientists from 12 countries in the installation demonstrate in an innovative way the power of connecting art and science. We believe that the semicircular screen with a special sound accompaniment will offer an exhibition experience that has never been seen in Celje before," said Andreja Erjavec, Director of Tehno Park Celje, about the hosting of the multimedia installation, and pointed out that upgrading existing and establishing new international connections brings richer, higher-quality and more attractive content for visitors, while at the same time these are invaluable opportunities for strengthening the competencies of employees in the largest science and entertainment park in Slovenia.
The opening of the multimedia installation Atmosfera in Tehnopark Celje will be on August 21, 2024 at 2 p.m. It will be opened by: Elisabeth Ellison-Kramer, Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to Slovenia, Dr. Marko Mele, scientific director of the Joanneum Universal Museum in Graz, Andreja Erjavec, director of Technopark Celje and Dr. Astrid Kury, curator of the exhibition. The exhibition will be free of charge as part of the entrance fee to Technopark Celje until 29 September 2024.
