SLOVENIA IS A FULL MEMBER OF ESA, JANUARY 2025
As of 1 January 2025, Slovenia has been a full member of the European Space Agency (ESA). This means that Slovenia has become part of this important organization that deals with space research, the development of space technologies and cooperation in space missions. Slovenia has previously cooperated with ESA within the framework of various programmes, but obtaining the status of a full member is an important step that enables greater involvement in space projects and opportunities for Slovenian researchers, companies and industry to participate in European space missions. Slovenia's full membership in ESA also brings access to a wider range of research and development opportunities in the space industry and enables a greater presence in the global field of space science and technology.
