DR. SAŠA BAJT AMBASSADOR OF SCIENCE OF THE REPUBLIC OF SLOVENIA
Dr. Saša Bajt is a renowned Slovenian scientist, who mainly works in the field of physics and nanotechnology. Her work is particularly notable in the field of X-ray optics and the use of advanced technologies for the study of matter at the nanoscale. She works as one of the leading scientists in Germany, where she is employed at the Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron (DESY), one of the leading research centers for particle accelerators and light synchronization. She has made a significant contribution to the development of new methods for the analysis of materials using X-rays. She is engaged in the development of optical elements for X-rays, such as the so-called multilayer mirrors, which enable more precise research at the atomic and molecular level. She has participated in numerous international projects involving the most modern synchrotron and spatial laser technologies.
Her excellence and contributions to science have been awarded several times, which also made her a Science Ambassador 2021, inspiring young researchers and scientists around the world.
Dr. Saša Bajt is also an important representative of Slovenia in the global scientific community, where she emphasizes the importance of interdisciplinarity and cooperation in the field of scientific research.
