SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE NEEDS FORECAST IN SLOVENIA UNTIL 2025, CEDEFOP

The European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training (CEDEFOP) website has published the Skills and Knowledge Forecast for Slovenia by 2025. According to CEDEFOP forecasts, the share of young people aged 30-34 with tertiary education in Slovenia will reach almost 59% by 2025. At the same time, the share of low-skilled and unskilled workers is expected to decrease from 14.9% in 2013 to 8.2% in 2025. According to the Occupational Barometer of the Employment Service of the Republic of Slovenia, shortages are predicted in various professions by 2025, including teachers, consultants, educators, health workers, engineers of various professions, veterinarians and accounting and auditing experts. In addition, an increase in demand for digital skills is expected, especially in the fields of cybersecurity, data analytics and programming.
