Open Science
Open Science is a modern approach to scientific research and sharing results in a transparent and collaborative manner, enabling faster progress in science and a greater role for scientific findings in social decision-making. It is based on principles such as immediate access to scientific works, sharing of research infrastructure, transparency of methods and experiments, data reuse, and the promotion of connecting science with the public. Slovenian legislation supports open science through various laws and strategies, such as the Resolution on the Scientific Research and Innovation Strategy of Slovenia 2030 and the Act on Scientific Research and Innovation Activities. Areas of open science include open access to publications, open research infrastructure, evaluation of scientific research work, citizen science, and science communication. ARIS implements various calls and invitations for co-financing research equipment, publishing scientific monographs, and promoting science, and collaborates with international organizations such as cOAlition S and Science Europe.
