The Academic and Research Network of Slovenia (ARNES) is a public institution established in May 1992, whose main task is the development, operation and management of communication and information networks for research, educational, cultural and other organizations in Slovenia.
ARNES provides a wide range of services, including high-speed Internet access, website hosting, e-mail, videoconferencing services and support for research projects. It also operates the Slovenian Internet Exchange Point (IXP), which enables more efficient data transfer within the country.
Within the framework of its activities, ARNES cooperates with various national and international organizations and is a key link in connecting Slovenian researchers, educational institutions and cultural institutions with the global scientific and educational environment.
