The Blinking Ekitty is a textile wristband, a simple and attractive fashion accessory with LED eyes that blink. During the workshop, children were introduced to the basics of electronics and discover what a circuit is, its components, and how it works. They learned about the appearance and properties of LEDs, switches, and button batteries. Participants were creating with electronic components and materials designed for safe use. The goal of the E-textiles workshop is for each participant to make their own wristband/circuit, connect light sources to an energy source, and activate it with a switch. After the workshop, participants can take their creation home with them.
