Challenges of Women Scientists in Slovenia
On the occasion of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science 2025, proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly, we are organizing a round table at Tehnopark Celje on the topic of gender equality in the STEAM field – from studies and research activities to employment. The event will take place on February 15, 2025, at 2:00 PM.
This year's event is titled: "Challenges of Women Scientists in Slovenia."

Participants of the round table
The participants of the round table will be women scientists from various fields:
• Barbara Kramar, from Celje, a Master's degree holder in Biology – Biotechnology, a PhD student in Biomedicine, and an engineer at the pharmaceutical company Novartis, where she works with radioligand therapy technologies. She was named AmCham Top Potential of the Year 2023.
• Brina Škoda, from Celje, a Computer Science and Informatics engineer and the leader of a team of product designers at Loftware, committed to creating user-friendly technological products. She is nominated for Engineer of the Year 2024.
• Eva Vidmar, a Master's degree engineer in Multimedia and a programmer at Be-Terna, one of the founders of the Ada Club. She explores the intersection of technology, psychology, and art.
• Neža Đukić, a graduate engineer in Multimedia and a Master of Science in ICT Innovations, an expert in user interfaces and process optimization, and an active member of the Ada Club.
• Dr. Borka Jerman Blažič (honorary guest), a pioneer of the Slovenian internet and recipient of the Order of Freedom of the Republic of Slovenia. Her major achievements include the implementation of national languages in global internet services, placing her among the academic and technical pioneers of the internet, one of the greatest innovations of the 20th century.
