SIST – Slovenian Institute for Standardization
The Slovenian Institute for Standardization (SIST) is the national institution responsible for the development, maintenance, and promotion of standardization in Slovenia. Its mission is to provide standards that help improve quality, safety, efficiency, and promote innovation and competitiveness across various sectors.
SIST collaborates with international organizations such as ISO (International Organization for Standardization) and IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission), adapting international and European standards to the Slovenian context. It serves as the central point for standardization activities in the country, working closely with various industrial and professional associations as well as the government.
SIST represents Slovenia's interests in European (CEN, CENELEC) and international standardization bodies, contributing to the development of global standards. The institute also offers educational programs, seminars, and workshops for businesses and individuals interested in better understanding the practical application of standards.
