The SHAW-IAU Workshop on Astronomical Education 2024 will be an international event aimed at improving astronomical education worldwide. It is organized by the SHAW Institute of Astronomy and the University of Hong Kong in collaboration with the International Astronomical Union (IAU). The workshop is designed to facilitate the exchange of ideas, resources, and best practices in the field of astronomical education among experts, teachers, researchers, and astronomy enthusiasts.

The event will cover various topics such as innovative teaching methods, the use of technology in astronomy education, the creation of educational resources, and the integration of astronomy into school curricula. In addition to lectures, there will be practical workshops where participants can acquire new knowledge and skills for teaching astronomy.

The goal of the workshop is to improve the quality of astronomical education, increase its accessibility, and foster interest in science among young people.
