The "Excellence in Science 2024" event was aimed at presenting the most prominent research achievements in Slovenia in 2024 and was held as part of the ARIS Day: Supporting Excellence, organised by the Slovenian Agency for Scientific Research and Innovation (ARIS). This year's event took place on 18 November 2024 at the National Gallery in Ljubljana. In addition to presentations of research achievements, roundtables on science-business cooperation and substantive workshops were organised to help researchers improve the communication of their projects and understand the challenges of the transition to the economy. The event concluded with the awarding of prizes for the best research achievements and a welcome to the new generation of young researchers.
