ELECTRIC THOUGHT CURRENTS: THE CONNECTION BETWEEN BRAIN AND MACHINE
Electrical Brainwaves: The Brain-Machine Connection is designed to appeal to a wide audience – from young people interested in neurotechnology to experts in the fields of neuroscience, robotics and information technology.
The event combines neuroscience and modern technology, and visitors will be able to learn in an interactive way how brain signals can be used to control devices, select virtual and physical symbols and even control robots.
The technology uses EEG sensors that detect electrical impulses in the brain, and these signals are converted into commands that can be used to control various output devices.
The event aims to bring neurotechnology closer to the general public and younger generations, and inspire them to explore the fields of neuroscience and engineering, and demonstrate interactive learning, as visitors will learn through practical demonstrations how brain signals work and how they can be used for control.
This event post is (co)financed as part of the science popularization activities within the TPC–SCIENCE PLATFORM - financially supported by the Public Agency for Scientific Research and Innovation of the Republic of Slovenia (ARIS).
