The "Excellent in Science" project is an initiative of the Public Agency for Scientific Research and Innovation of the Republic of Slovenia (ARIS), which has been highlighting the most prominent scientific achievements in Slovenia for the thirteenth consecutive year. The purpose of the project is to increase the visibility of science and emphasize its importance for social and economic development. In 2024, ARIS selected 25 outstanding achievements from the fields of natural sciences, engineering, medicine, biotechnology, social sciences, humanities and interdisciplinary research from 87 proposed contributions. The awards were presented at the event "ARIS Day 2024: Supporting Excellence", which took place on November 18, 2024 at the National Gallery in Ljubljana.
