In cooperation with RUK (Network of Research Centers at the Crossroads of Art, Science and Technology), engineer Alenka Knez and with the School Center Celje - Secondary School of Chemistry, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, we conducted BRAIN WEEK - TEHNO NEURO, which took place from 9 - 13.6.2021 in Tehnopark Celje.
The purpose was to present projects based on technologies of interfaces between the brain and the computer / machine (BCI - Brain Computer Interface).
BCI - Brain Computer Interface - The interface between the brain and the computer is a computer system that captures brain signals, analyzes them and converts them into appropriate commands to execute output applications. BCI systems were initially evolving towards biomedical applications. Applications allow re-movement of the physically handicapped and replace motor functionality. In addition to biomedical applications, effective BCI systems are now used in many other fields. Thus, the field of research into the applicability of BCI systems has expanded beyond medicine, to areas such as smart environments, art, education, games, advertising, etc.
The program implemented within the TEHNO NEURO:
NeuroFly
NeuroTeo
NeuroYaski
BCI painter
NeuroExplorer
Nutrition for the brain
Performance of the magician MAGIC ALEKSANDRA
Video presentation: ACROBACIES HIGH ABOVE THE CLOUDS with world-famous acrobats Dunking Devils
Inclusion of art in science and technology with illustrator Nea Likar from Celje
We ended the week successfully in a pleasant atmosphere. The total number of visitors in the five days was 446, of which 254 were primary and secondary school students from 6 different schools. There were 192 external visitors.
During TEHNO NEURO, we had as many as 2,022 views on the website, our posts reached as many as 8,700 users on the FB (Facebook) and IG (Instagram) pages.
