AformX is a dynamic high technology aviation company from Trbovlje, its director is Sašo Knez.
Since 2008 the company has had a protoype workshop , which primarily makes and builds ultralight airplanes and composit parts for the aviation industry and the development department, where they develop flying simulators that use virtual reality glasses, websites for online learning and other interesting research projects. Their best projects are made at the intersection of knowledge of the interdisciplinary team that is not afraid of any challenges. They have received numerous awards, among them the most prestigious are Golden Award for Innovation they got in 2018, given by Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia, and in 2019 they won the first place in the competition for the fastest electric powered air racing aircraft by the Royal Aeronautical Society.
In the company AformX they have developed and built a special flying simulator for Tehnopark Celje. This is a simulator of a hang-glider which will enable visitors of Tehnopark to fly over Celje from four different starting points. The project was led by Ines Repnik, who is an engineer, a softwear developer and deals with aviation and aviation technology in the company itself. She also carried out the presentation and training on how to manage the flying simulator in Aeroclub Celje. According to the words of Sašo Knez, the director of AformX, she enriched the company by bringing the culture of personal and professional growth through reading.
In 2008, Sašo Knez and his business partners founded the company Aereform d.o.o. aviation technology (later renamed AformX d.o.o. aviation technology), which is still growing and developing. From 2009 to 2012 he was a flight instructor and the head of theoretical training in Adria Airways Flight School. In 2012 he started cooperating with the company Pipistrel, where he still works as a teacher. In 2013 he founded the company Aeronaut d.o.o. academy for aviation, (later renamed Academy 4), which develops systematic solutions for aviation schooling. The system of e-schooling has received the Silver and Golden National Awards for the Innovation by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia. It was also chosen as one of the five best products according to SPIRIT, Slovenia Public Agency. Sašo Knez is an example of an individual who has achieved his professional peak as a flight instructor and as a professional pilot because of stimulating local and national environment.
