Conference ECSITE 2024
Between June 5 and 8, 2024, the ECSITE 2024 conference will be held at the Gospodarsko Razstavišče in Ljubljana. The conference is officially hosted by the Kersnikova Institute and co-organized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation.
The ECSITE conference is the annual meeting of the ECSITE network (European Network of Science Centers and Museums) and represents one of the most important gatherings of professionals in the field of science communication, culture, and projects related to sustainable development, research, and technologies. Participants of the ECSITE conference, coming from more than 323 European and global institutions, representing over 50 countries (5 continents), are mostly directors and senior profiles of scientific research institutions and museums, managers, researchers, officials of European institutions, representatives of museums, science research centers, science and technology parks, international project coordinators, and representatives of private companies. During the three-day conference (including a pre-conference day), approximately 1,000 participants in the field of science communication and public engagement in scientific research activities are expected to gather in Ljubljana. The program includes more than 80 content discussions, seminars, and workshops alongside the plenary sessions. During the conference, there will also be an exhibition-themed section called "Business Bistro," featuring 65 international exhibitors, where business and economic connections are made, and international partnerships are established.

PRESENTATION ON CONFERENCE
We are pleased to inform you that Tehnopark Celje will participate in this year's ECSITE conference in Ljubljana. At the Slovenian exhibition space, we will present our activities and projects, including robots. We will also attend discussion panels where we will share our experiences and knowledge and collaborate with other experts in the fields of science and technology.

TEHNOPARK CELJE PART OF THE ECSITE NETWORK
In February 2023, we joined the European network Ecsite, European Network of Science Centres & Museums, which has been operating as a European network of science centers and museums since 1990. Ecsite's vision is to promote creativity and critical thinking in European society and encourage citizens to engage with science. Tehnopark Celje has been recognized as an important center within the Ecsite network, which, with its vision and mission, raises awareness about the importance of integrating science into society. Therefore, representatives of Tehnopark Celje attended the Ecsite Conference 2023 in June, held at the Mediterranean Conference Centre in Valletta, Malta. During the new member reception, they successfully presented the public institution Tehnopark Celje and its sustainable-oriented operations. The conference was attended by 850 participants from more than 250 organizations, and the Slovenian presence was also represented by the organization KONS (a platform for contemporary investigative art from Ljubljana), which is hosting the Ecsite conference in Ljubljana this year.
Our representatives received exceptionally positive feedback from the community last year, and we are excited to be already participating in the joint sustainable strategies and visions of the Ecsite network. Sustainable guidelines were indeed the central theme of last year's Ecsite conference.
